Detoxadine and Thyroid Herbal Treatment

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

Many people can have issues with their thyroid gland and not even know it. When tissue in the thyroid gland becomes overactive, it causes a surplus of hormones which in turn affects every part of the body. Thyroid hormone is what acts as a stimulus to metabolism. When the thyroid tissue produces too many hormones, it speeds the body up. This is known as hyperthyroidism.

Thyroid tissue that does not produce enough hormones causes a condition called hypothyroidism. Either one can be very serious for the simple fact that they do affect so many parts of the body.

What is the thyroid exactly? It is a gland in the lower part of your neck that is somewhat shaped like a butterfly. It’s main function is to emit hormones. The hormones are easier remembered as T3 and T4. This is what sends energy to the cells.

In a healthy person the thyroid functions normally and all the cells get the right amount of energy sent to them. There are certain symptoms of thyroid disease that are pretty good indicators of whether you are at risk or not. One of the main ones is if a close relative, such as parents, siblings, or other close relatives have had thyroid disease.

Many times when the thyroid does not function properly it is caused by autoimmune thyroid disease. This is a problem that occurs when the body loses it’s natural ability to know the difference between it’s organs and outside viruses or bacteria. When this happens the immune system to produce antibodies that fight the thyroid by mistake. This is what causes the thyroid to either become overactive or the antibodies kill the thyroid.

Many people used to have an enlarged thyroid called a goiter. This was more common many years ago before a lot was known about thyroid disease. Today it is a more understood problem, however most people just do not realize that is what the problem is. Almost 27 million Americans have this problem and half do not even know it.

This is one disease that is often misdiagnosed. At a rate of seven times more often than men to develop this problem, one in five women will develop thyroid problems. The older she gets the higher the risk and it is even higher if there is a family history of problems with the thyroid.

If you notice symptoms of fatigue, weight loss or gain for no reason, losing your hair, heart palpitations or many other warning signals that can be the result of a thyroid problem, you should immediately inform your doctor. He can perform tests to see if that may be your problem. With proper diagnosis and treatment this can be kept under control.

The thyroid cells provide a service that no other part of the body can do. They take iodine which you get from food or salt and change it into the aforementioned T3 and T4. In a normal situation the iodine that body gets is either T3 or T4. The normal for a healthy thyroid is 80 % T4 and 20% T3.

So if you experience any of the mentioned symptoms or have a history in your family, it is best to go have it checked out. And even if medical tests are not positive for either low or high producing thyroid activity you may wish to go with the way you’re feeling and seek help from a naturopathic doctor or experiment with thyroid herbal treatments under a doctor’s care.

Beautiful Skin and Hair Are Attainable

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

It would be nice if all of us, men and women alike, had healthy, radiant skin without scars of any kind.  But that seems to be the lot of only a few today.  Must be good DNA or something.  But don’t be distressed as if beautiful skin and hair was unattainable for you personally – as skin is merely a reflection of what’s going on at a much deeper level.

Your face and body do not need more clogging, synthetic oils and lotions so it only makes logical sense to use products as natural as possible that do not leave oily residues which contribute to the dull skin look so many of us experience.  Skin is an organ that needs real nutrition that can make a difference when applied topically.  Internal skin nutrition supports detoxification and a healthy blood supply to the vessels beneath the skin’s surface.  We have personally found green, leafy foods to be great for that purpose.  Especially wheat grasses.

Healthy Blood Flow Beneath the Surface

The skin’s heath is dependent on what it is fed.  The existence of poisons (or the lack thereof) and nutrients within the bloodstream feed skin cells.

Healthy skin will never exist in the presence of health-depriving toxins from pesticides, PCBs, dioxins, etc.  So what should we do about these toxins? Well, any respected naturopath would recommend good diet including lots of raw fruits and veggies along with whole grains, seeds and nuts.

Of course, adding plenty of purified water is also vital. Perhaps a quality mineral and vitamin formula, too. But aside from the basics, what else can be done? A program of detoxification.

Detoxification for Healthy Skin

I know you’ve heard this hundreds of times, but health (and maybe in death) begin in the colon.  So, colon cleansing is very important. Then, liver cleansing.  Add urinary tract cleansing. Then comes lymph, lung and blood support. You’ll find excellent products in several places, but we’ve had success with what’s offered here: Electrical Body Products.

If one can eliminate most refined sugars from the diet, that would be a plus, but that’s difficult for most people. Try keeping them to a minimum, at least.

An important form of detoxification may be infrared sauna therapy.  Several research papers have shown the efficiency of far infrared (or radiant) heat therapy.

Whole-body hyperthermia (heating the body core) treatment causes the excretion of sweat from the sebaceous glands of the body, where these harmful materials are stored. Sweat is not excreted from the sebaceous glands using conventional saunas.

Carbon heaters emit far infrared rays which match the body’s own wavelength, which is essential to improving blood circulation and the health of internal organs in the body. In the lying position, the hyperthermic chamber treatment does not lower oxygen levels in the blood or increase lactic acid.

Sweating therapy with carbon heat allows your body to produce a great deal more perspiration through your pores. Why is that good? Because sweating therapy is excellent for overall purification and balancing and can effectively be combined with other cleansing therapies.

About one liter of sweat should be excreted from the user during a 30 minute treatment. This volume of sweat cannot be matched by a normal sauna. Here is our recommendation: hyperthermic chamber.

The skin is the largest eliminative organ in the body and the elimination through sweating is more passive and requires less expenditure of energy than elimination via the kidneys and bowels. And with the hyperthermic chamber above, one has a tool for heating the body core temperature – vital for destruction of viruses and bacteria.

Well, that’s the cleansing and nourishing side of skin care, what about topical help for fading or reducing acne scars?

Nutritious Skin Care for Acne Scar Fading and Removal

Use high quality vegetable soaps which work to protect and nourish your skin by not upsetting its natural pH levels.

Then, to remove dead skin cells from the surface of our skin, French Green Clay and Fuller’s Earth Clay work wonders. This combo always promises us a smile with its remarkable results. The minerals and sun-dried features of these clays (and perhaps some Neem bark powder added to the mix) help dull, lifeless complexions revitalize through oxidation and circulation. This way, the skin’s ability to use and retain vital oxygen is increased.

Is that significant? This creates a healthy, clean environment for the skin, and acts as a catalyst for transporting the micronutrients found not only in these clays but in the fabulous Neem bark powder, into the deeper layers of the skin. You are left with a more youthful, clearer, and vibrant appearance.

These clays and Neem bark powders have enormous drawing capabilities and even a lightening effect on the outer epidermal skin layer. That’s why people of all skin types can benefit from their dramatic effect on even the most severe acne conditions, as well as remineralizing, hydrating and exfoliating normal to dry skin types. By removing dead skin cells and reoxygenating the skin, your complexion can be detoxified and removed of bacteria, while healing is promoted.

Your last crucial step for acne scar treatment must be organic rosehip seed oil.

Rosehip Seed Oil With Natural Vitamin C

Ask any dermatologist what therapies work best to renew skin, and his/her solutions would include Vitamins C and A in a topical application. However, it’s very difficult to find a stable form of Vitamin C that could reach deep enough into your skin to do any good at all. And laboratory synthesized trans-retinoic acids (Vitamin A derivatives) have harsh side effects.

Organically grown and tested essential oils and organic rosehip seed oil contains essential fatty acids, a high concentration of bio-available Vitamin C and natural tretinoin, a derivative of vitamin A.

In this natural state as part of a complex system of unsaturated essential fatty acids, these nutrients’ actions are controlled and slowly released by nature, eliminating risk of overdoses or harsh side effects thus helping to boost collagen and elastin levels for smoother, firmer skin.

Rosehip oil has been tested on old scars and improvement was noted in all cases. These old and new scars were caused by acne and otherwise. Time will fail us if we were to relate all the good experiences we’ve heard about scar removal using these luscious oils, but suffice it to say you can be the next living testimonial about healthy beautiful skin with faded acne scars (and in many cases, elimination of scars altogether).

Apply morning and evening and several times throughout the day if you are targeting both new and old scars or keloids.

In just weeks your skin will look smoother, healthier and more vibrant.

So the above has been our experience in creating more beautiful skin and we think with the above suggestions, you can’t but improve your skin from lifeless and dull to vibrantly alive and acne scar free.
